Chapter 3 : The Electoral Politics.( Up to What Makes Election Democratic)
Geography.
Chapter 1 : India, Size and Location.
Chapter 2 : Physical Features of India.
Chapter 3 : Drainage (Only Map Skill)
Economics.
Chapter 1 : The Story of Village Palampur 
Chapter 2 : People and Resource.



Syllabus IX. S.St. DAV/NCERT
History
In section 1 students are required to study all the three themes.
In section 2 students are required to choose any one theme.
Thus all students are  required to study four themes in all.
Pre -Mid term test/ quarterly(April to July)
Section- events and processes
Chapter 1- The French Revolution
Chapter 2- Socialism in Europe and the Russian Revolution(up to February Revolution in
Petrogard)
Mid-term-test/ half yearly(August to September)
Section 1- Events and Processes
Chapter 2-Socialism in Europe and the Russian revolution
Chapter3-Nazism and the rise of Hitler.
Post Mid term/pre annual(October to December)
Section 2 livelihoods economics and societies
(Any one of the following themes)
Chapter 4- Forest society and colonialism (Up to rebellion in the forest)
Chapter 5-Pastroralists in modern world(up to colonial rule and pastoral life)
Chapter 6- Peasants and farmers(up to bread basket and dust bowl)
(Map work based on theme 4/5/6, internet choice will be provided).
Note-revision of entire syllabus from pre-mid term, and post-mid term
Annual exam (January and February) note-revision of entire syllabus
Suggested activities Practical-as an assignment  during summer  vacation
Prepare a flowchart explaining the French society in 18th century
Complete the course and consequences of a subsistence crisis
Project-as an assignment  during dipawali and chhath holidays
