Literary Sources - All written records of the past are known as literary sources or manuscripts.They are very important for the historians.

Ans- The account of events, by foreign pilgrims and travellers like Fa-hein,Huein Tsang,Itsing(Chinese travellers),Marcopolo,Batuta and ambassadors like Megasthenes who visited India in earlier times, they write something about India.These are also important sources of information about ancient,medieval Indian history and culture.

Ans- In earlier times, coins were made of different materials like lead, copper, bronze, iron,
silver, gold and even leather. They give us useful information about the art, religion, rulers, the use of different materials and the level of development of technology.
It also gives us information about the economic condition of the people and peoples of that time.
