Ans. Sahara Desert- Sahara is the hot desert that is found in North America. It has a very scanty vegetation and very low rainfall. Cacti like plants are found also here.
Ladakh- It is a very cold desert with scanty population. It is found in Jammu and Kashmir. It is a tourist place. Mountain Goat are also found here
2. Why are the rainforests of the Amazon basin disappearing.
Ans. 1. The Amazon basin is known for its rainforests. The trees here are very tall and thick
There are several layers of vegetation.
2.  The forests are so dense that sunlight hardly reaches the ground . This region has vast and varied species of plant like rubber tree, the cinchona , the brazil nut and the quebracho.

Ans. The density of population of Sahara desert low because of low rainfall and very hot climate.

Ans. Prairies- The grasslands in the North America is called Praries. The cover a large area of USA and Canada.
Velds- In South Africa the grasslands are called Velds.The main rivers of Velds are the Limpopo and Orange.

Ans.
