Nalanda a Seat of Learning : There in the ancient past, Nalanda which provided India the

status of VISHWAGURU has been the torch bearer since time immemorial in the field of education and peace spreading not only in India but the world over. The students form the world over used to come here for receiving knowledge, spiritual training and thus enlightenment. Now the DAV Power Grid Campus, at Mahanand Pur in Biharsharif is playing the same role of ancient university Nalanda where Sheelbhadra and Huien T Sang like professors and students were engaged in comprehensive teaching and learning process.

Our School adjacent to the historic town and international tourist spot Rajgir : the ancient capital of Mahajanpad Magadh : Surrounded by five hills is located a small beautiful town of Rajgir where once Lord Buddha came and glorified the place just 20 Km. away from here in the north is located, DAV Public School on the N.H - 31, in Biharsharif, which is the district, head quarter of Nalanda.

Beginning : A small endevor which started in the year 1998 only with 39 students, 3 rooms inside power gird colony and with a set of 7 (seven) teachers with its founder Principal Mr. Sanjay Sinha has today touched the mark of 2016 students with a set of 60 teachers along with two palatial buildings and affiliated to CBSE up to + 2 level.

Achievements of the School . In a short span of time, the glitter of achievement and development ranges from academic to non - academic and from cultural to all round development of the students. We have managed to create our dominance in the arena of education, sports and cultural activities in the district of Nalanda. The rapid increase in the number of students, popularity, dignity, name and fame that we hold have left the people wonderstruck.

The DAV institution here is the life line in the field of education for the children, people and parents of Nalanda. Academic Achievement The entire progress and reputation of a school largly depends upon the academic performances and excellence. We are proud to say that our school has created a milestone in this regard. Every year some students in every class perform exceptionally good.

This all became possible due to iconic guidance of honorable - Regional Director Dr.U.S.Prasad and blessings of great departed soul, Late Mahatama Narayan Das Grover. It runs with the dynamic foreseer Principal P.C. Das and a dedicated, updated and learned teaching staff member and 24 hours working non teaching staff .

It is our specific achievement that our school ranks in between 1 to 10 (One to Ten) in Patna Zone and has been placed in very good category school by DAVCMC, New Delhi 'for the last three consecutive years'.
